Jersey Girl

Hoy vengo a hablaros de dos cosas importantes este invierno:

1- Los jerséis son totalmente necesarios para mi en invierno. Como el aire que respiro. Y se me ocurrió enseñaros algunos de mis preferidos en este post. Quien puede resistirse a un jersey bien calentito?

Today I came to talk you about important things to this winter:
1- The sweaters are totally necessary to me in winter time. Like the air that I breath. It occurred to me to show you some of my favorites on this post. Who could resist to a warm sweater?

 2- "Jersey Girl" es una de mis canciones favoritas de todos los tiempos. La canción original pertenece a Tom Waits pero, aunque yo adoro a Waits (gracias a mi queridísimo hermano) en este caso tengo especial debilidad por la versión de Springsteen.
Por supuesto, tenéis que escucharla:

Pero a parte, como hoy estoy especialmente triste, voy a cantárosla un poquito ;)

2- "Jersey Girl" is one of my favourite songs ever. The original song belongs to Tom Waits but, even if I love Waits (thanks to my lovely brother) in this case I have a special feeling for Springsteen version.

New Obession: Saffron

Los colores de la tierra y que provienen de la tierra me fascinan. Tengo la sensación de que son los que mejor quedan en contraste con la piel de los humanos :)

Y a raíz de esto, he descubierto una nueva obsesión para mi persona: el color azafrán.

I’m fascinated about the earth colours. I have the feeling that they are the best in contrast with human skin.
Because of this, I have discovered a new obsession on me: the saffron colour.

En realidad es un color complicado, porque es muy parecido al granate, al marrón y al naranja. Pero diferente. Más intenso a mi modo de ver. Y natural.

Así que cuando lo veo por ahí, me lo llevo a casa sin pensarlo ;)

Actually, it is a complicated colour, because it is nearly garnet, brown and orange. But diferent. More intense, I think. And natural.
So when I see it over there, I bring it home with me without thinking ;)

Mustard Family

El día 1 de noviembre/Castañada/Halloween/Todos los Santos, fui con mi familia y mi chico a comer el mejor solomillo de la tierra en un pequeño restaurante en medio del barrio barcelonés de Les Corts.

On November 1/castañada/Halloween/All Saints, I went with my family and boyfriend to eat the best steak on a little restaurant  in the middle of barcelona district Les Corts.

Era la ocasión perfecta para estrenar mi nuevo vestido color mostaza de Mango. Un vestido del que me enamoré a primera vista. Cuando se lo vi puesto a un maniquí. Faltó poco para que se lo arrancara, pero no hizo falta y se vino para casa conmigo de forma pacífica.

It was the perfect moment to release my new mustard Mango dress. A dress which I fell in love at first sight. When I saw it on a mannequin. Almost ripped it, but it wasn't necessary and it came home with me. 

Pasé un día estupendo rodeada de la gente que quiero y que me quiere. Y con un poco de mostaza. Que la vida con salsa sabe mucho mejor ;)

Slowly Art: Medwinds

El otro día fui al evento que organizó la marca 100% mediterránea Medwinds para presentar sus nuevos foulares y bufandas.

El lugar era un local encantador anclado en el Raval. Un sitio precioso lleno de detalles que recuerdan el pasado. Un punto en la ciudad donde perderte entre telares: El taller textil Teranyina.

Teresa, una de las mujeres que realizan la labor de hacer las bufandas y foulares en los antiguos telares, nos estuvo explicando el arte de realizar las prendas en estas máquinas tan bucólicas. El arte de las cosas hechas despacio.

Después, pudimos escoger la tela con la que las costureras realizarán las bufandas que después sortearán entre las bloggers asistentes (cruzo los dedos!)

Finalmente, fuimos a tomar algo a En Ville, un estupendo Restaurante a pocas calles del taller, donde pude reencontrarme con algunas bloggers que llevaba tiempo sin ver y pasar un rato agradable charlando con la gente de Medwinds.

Fue una tarde redonda.

The other day I went to the event organized by Medwinds, a 100% mediterranean brand, to show their new foulards and scarfs.
The event was in a lovely place in Raval. A beautiful site plenty of details that remind you the past. A point in the city where you can get lost among looms. The workshop Teranyina.
Teresa, one of the women who make the scarfs and foulards in the ancient looms, explained us the art of doing the clothing in these bucolic machines. The art of doing things slowly.After, we could choose the material that seamstresses will use to do the scarfs that will be drawn between bloggers attending the event.
Finally, we went to drink something to En Ville, a fantastic restaurant nearby the workshop, where I could find some bloggers that I didn't see in a while and talk to them and the Medwinds people.
Was a perfect evening.
