I N S P I R I N G (I)

Un estilo de blog que siempre me gusta visitar es aquel que se nutre de imágenes inspiradoras que ha encontrado en algún u otro lugar, ya sean revistas, otros blogs, anuncios, etc...

Me gustan porque me resultan tremendamente inspiradores a su vez.

Una mirada. Una sonrisa. Una curva. La insinuación de una textura. Detalles.

Mi humilde contribución :) Una oda a la inocencia. Puede haber algo más sexy?

Glamour Shopping Night By Mango (F/W Edition)

Locura. Este es el adjetivo que viene a mi mente cuando pienso en la noche que pasamos en la Glamour Shopping Night en MANGO Paseo de Gracia. Gente por todas partes, ropa por todas partes, Campari por todas partes. A penas se podía caminar... Y para comprar, una cola de media hora que se hizo un poquito más amena con el cocktail.

Madness. This is the adjective that comes to my mind when I think about the Glamour Shopping Night at MANGO in Paseo de Gracia. People everywhere, clothes everywhere, Campari everywhere. Could barely walk... And to buy, a half an hour tail that was a little bit softer with the cocktail.

Hay quien se fue escandalizad@ por el tumulto (con razones para ello). Quien disfrutó de la velada porque ya sabían a lo que iban. Y yo no podía evitar pensar que, a veces, parece incluso necesario estar en el ojo del huracán para ver lo que se cuece allí. Y afortunadamente, Barcelona es un lugar repleto de huracanes :)

Some people run by the tumult (with reasons). Some people enjoyed the evening because they knew what would happen. And I could not help thinking that, sometimes, it seems necessary to stay in the eye of the hurricane to see what happens there. Fortunately, Barcelona is a place full of hurricanes :)

Valor Afegit

Hace unos días os comenté que había asistido a la presentación de la nueva colección otoño/invierno de la firma Barea (podéis ver el post clicando aquí). Pues bien, olvidé deciros que mientras estuvimos allí las bloggers, también estuvo la televisión catalana, haciendo entrevistas a algunas de las bloggers y grabando nuestros estilismos para la realización de un programa.

Hace unos días en el Canal 33 y TV3 lo emitieron en el programa Valor Afegit (Valor Añadido). Sólo dura unos 5 minutitos y resume el estado actual de los bloggers españoles en el mundoblog internacional.

Me hacía ilusión compartirlo con vosotr@s :)

Some days ago I explained to you that I had assisted to the new Barea collection presentation (you can see it clicking here). So, I forgot to tell you that while bloggers were there, the catalan tv was there too, making interviews to some bloggers and recording our outfits to carry out a program.Last week the program was broadcast as Valor Afegit ( Added Value) in Channel33 and TV3. It only lasts for 5 minutes and summarizes the current status of spanish bloggers in the international blogworld.I was excited to share it with you :)

When Zadig met Marant

Cuando llega esta época del año me deshago pensando cual será el estilo que reinará en mi armario para la próxima temporada invernal. Antes de empezar a comprar jerseys, abrigos, botas y demás, me gusta pararme a estudiar cuál es el "rollo" que voy a querer darle a mis looks más fríos.

Este año lo tengo realmente fácil. Hay dos campañas, dos colecciones, dos diseñadores sublimes que resumen a la perfección la imagen fashionista que me gustaría proyectar este invierno.

Larga vida a Zadig&Voltaire e Isabel Marant.

When starts winter time I think about the new style that will be my closet's king on the next season. Before start buying jerseys, coats, boots and more, I like to stop and study what is the style I would like toexpress on my coldest looks.
This year I have an easy work. Two campaigns, two collections, two gorgeous designers that summarize the fashion image that I would like to wear this winter.
Long life to Zadig&Voltaire and Isabel Marant.

MARANT

Las últimas colecciones de Isabel Marant han estado en boca de todos y con razón. El estilo bohocowboyglamgirl tiene mucha tirada. Además, es desenfadado y muy pero que muy ponible. A mi cuando un diseñador hace tendencia de un jersey de punto me tiene ganada. Porque hacer tendencia de sedas, pieles, plumas y tules no tiene tanto mérito...

Last Isabel Marant collections had been commented by everybody and rightly. The bohocowboyglamgirl style is highly value. Also, it is casual and wearable. I love when a designer achieve to made trend with a knit jersey. I think to made trend with silks, furs, feathers and tulle it is not the same...

Esas botas son un orgasmo. Y el que diga que no, miente.

ZADIG & VOLTAIRE

Cuando Thierry Gillier apostó por Erin Wasson para Zadig después de que Alexander Wang la eligiera estilista de su marca al fijarse en el estilo de la modelo, poco sabía este hombre de las satisfacciones que este trato le reportaría. No me había fijado yo demasiado en esta marca hasta que la modelo hizo su aparición en las nuevas campañas. Y es que las cosas con Wasson, saben mucho mejor. 

When Thierry Gillier bet on Erin Wasson to collaborate with Zadig after Alexander Wang choose her as styler on his brand, Gillier didn't know all the satisfaction that this deal would bring him. I hadn't noticed very much in this brand before the model made its appeareance in new campaigns. The things with Wasson, have a better flavor.

Pretty Little Ballerinas!

Cuando estuve en Menorca no daba crédito, los zapatos Mascaró y las Pretty Ballerinas están por todas partes. Todas las tiendas tienen modelos. Todas las chicas los llevan en los pies. Yo sabía que Pretty Ballerinas es la marca joven de Jaime y Úrsula Mascaró, pero nada más. No entendía esta presencia tan fuerte por toda la islita. Mi ignorancia me llevó a google, como de costumbre...

Entonces descubrí que Mascaró empezó sus andanzas zapatenses en 1918 en Ferreries, un pequeño pueblo menorquín, de zapatillas de ballet artesanales a los increíbles taconazos, botines, sandalias, botas, bailarinas, etc... que se venden hoy en día en todo el mundo.

Así que decidí que comprar en Menorca unas Pretty Ballerinas era traerme un souvenir precioso de la tierra que las vio nacer :P

Y a vosotras? os gustan los Mascaró?

When I stayed in Menorca I couldn’t believe it, Mascaró shoes and Pretty Ballerinas a go gó. All shops had their models. All girls wore it on their feet. I knew that Pretty Ballerinas is the young brand of Jaime and Úrsula Mascaró, but nothing more. I didn’t understand this strong presence throughout the island. My ignorance led me to google, as always…

Then I discovered that Mascaró started in 1918 in Ferreries, a small menorquin town. From handmade ballet shoes to incredible heels, boots, sandals, ballerinas, etc…that Mascaró sells nowadays all over the world.

So I decided to buy in Menorca a pair of Pretty Ballerinas was a nice souvenir from the land who saw them born.
